First-Ever Volleyball Tournament at IMA Bareilly, Chandralok Challengers Crowned Champions
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bareilly made history by organizing its first-ever Volleyball Tournament at the IMA Farm, Dohra Road, where more than 150 doctors participated with great enthusiasm.
The league matches began at 8 AM, with the men’s teams divided into two pools. After thrilling contests, four teams reached the semifinals. The grand finale was a nail-biting encounter, where Chandralok Challengers, led by Dr. Himanshu Agarwal, showcased excellent coordination and teamwork to defeat Bareilly MRI Tigers and claim the maiden title.
In the children’s category, Rising Kids, guided by Dr. Arshad Ali and Dr. Shahid Ali, triumphed over Neuro Kids. Meanwhile, in the women’s division, Dr. Megha Tandon’s team delivered a stellar performance to secure the championship.

The tournament was not just about competition but also carried a larger message: if doctors can take time out of their busy schedules to play and stay active, society too should embrace outdoor games and sports for a healthier lifestyle. Despite the scorching heat and age challenges, the doctors’ enthusiasm and sportsmanship were truly commendable.
This landmark event has written a new chapter in IMA Bareilly’s history, paving the way for more such initiatives that will strengthen sportsmanship and health awareness among doctors and the community alike.
