IMA Bareilly to Host IMA Speciality League Season-2, Trophy Unveiled
To promote sportsmanship among doctors and spread awareness about health and fitness, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bareilly announced the organization of the IMA Speciality League Season-2. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the IMA auditorium, where the tournament trophies were unveiled and team jerseys were distributed.
IMA Bareilly President Dr. R.K. Singh informed that the cricket league will be held on Sunday at the Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital grounds. A total of 8 teams will participate, including 6 men’s teams and 2 women’s teams.
The key captains leading the men’s teams include Dr. Saurabh Goyal (Medicine), Dr. Rajneesh Varshney (Surgery), Dr. Aarfi Singh (Orthopaedics), Dr. Anil Gangwar (ENT), Dr. Mahesh Tripathi (Urology), and Dr. Shivam Kamthan (Non-Clinical). The women’s teams will be led by Dr. Seema Maheshwari (Pathology) and Dr. Parul Varshney (Gynaecology).
During the press meet, IMA Secretary Dr. Ratan Pal Singh, Treasurer Dr. Shivam Kamthan, PRO Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, and Dr. Ranjiv Goyal along with other dignitaries were also present.
The much-awaited cricket league aims not only to provide a platform for doctors to showcase their sporting talent but also to inspire the community to integrate sports and fitness into their daily lives.
